Alf Barbagallo Mr Sprintcar 77
Barbagallo and the Perth Motorplex are proud to announce the creation of the Alf Barbagallo Mr Sprintcar 77 event. Taking place on 19th of February, the event will honour Alf Barbagallo’s legendary career in the sport.
Alf Barbagallo; also known as ‘Mr Sprintcar’ is a 6-time Western Australian champion and was proudly inducted into the Claremont Speedway Hall of Fame in the 1999-2000 season. His illustrious career features many successes, including first place at the inaugural round of the World Series Sprintcars at the Claremont Speedway in 1987. ‘Mr Sprintcar’ on a record eight occasions has held the most feature wins in a season and has been named the all-time winningest driver at Claremont Speedway, winning 79.5 feature races after dead heating with Ray Geneve on November 27, 1970.

The February 19 event will see the Mr Sprintcar Alf Barbagallo 77 headline the night, with the feature race for Sprintcars paying a cool $7,777.77 to win.
