New Citroën C3 – The ‘Visiodrive’
Beautiful. Young. Intelligent! Citroën is launching the new C3.
CITROËN’S ambitious objective with the new C3 is to renew a best-selling car that has sold in more than 2 million units. Frédéric Banzet, Managing Director of CITROËN, said, “This is a major launch for the Marque and gives us the means to achieve our ambition of increasing market share, with both private and professional customers.”
To make this happen, CITROËN has taken the best of the C3 and moved it up a notch. The brand’s new ‘Visiodrive’ has what it takes to succeed: a unique, prestigious personality, with curvaceous yet taut styling and a cabin that sets a new standard in the segment on materials, design and finish quality, intelligent architecture for outstanding roominess, responsive and responsible road behaviour with controlled fuel consumption for all powertrains and an ambitious CO2 reduction programme.
But the new C3 does more than that. With its Zenith windscreen, it is unique. Boosting brightness and visibility, it brings Visiodrive passengers an all-new motoring experience.
The Citroën new C3 is planned to make its debut in Australia in mid 2010, when local prices and specifications will be announced
A FLUID AND DYNAMIC EXTERIOR
The new C3 still expresses roundness and protection but its style has gained a dynamic edge with its more incisive and aerodynamic lines The exterior is dressed with the brand's new chevrons and displays headlights shaped like boomerangs.
The new C3 introduces a new standard in terms of perceived quality in its category It is clearly evident that the treatment of surfaces has been thoughtfully cared for, and the presence of chrome finishing touches around door handles and other accent areas all demonstrate a elegant quality finishes.
A technological achievement in itself, the Zenith windscreen redefines the motoring experience Front passenger's upward field of vision is drastically increased and the absence of the upper cross member gives a large panoramic view The 2 front uprights have been reduced in size allowing for increased 3/4 front visibility and a sensation of high definition uninhibited vision for every occupant The progressive colour fade over the upper part of the windscreen ensures a gentle transition from optimal sun protection to the transparency required for forward vision A rigid blind with 2 sun blinds provides the option of partial or integral protection.
Both the design and materials used for the C3's interior are inspired by premium vehicles and offer the best level of comfort The whole interior is covered in top of the range materials such as its thermo-coated dashboard, emphasised by a cross band in satin grey or in glossy brushed aluminium The various chrome accents, the central facade in black, or the leather seats all enhance its refinement.
There is ample storage space in the boot with a 300 litre load capacity, which is one of the best levels in its class The rear seat backs are split and fold to increase the volume further There is also ample storage in the cockpit with rear and front pockets, a central console, and sliding drawers under the passenger seat to mention a few.
