Most people will recognize the Barbagallo name in some capacity but not many realize exactly what flies under the Barbagallo banner. Three dealerships handle 12 car marques as diverse as  Aston Martin to the Fiat 500 and Barbagallo recently opened an on-site Tyre Centre based at Osborne Park . Barbagallo also exclusively supply top of the range Sunseeker motor-yachts and motor cruisers in Australia and New Zealand.  Barbagallo don’t just offer products to buy, they offer a lifestyle to aim for.
 
From a modest four-car workshop Barbagallo has grown to a company employing over 140 staff in various metro locations.  Although still well known for selling top of the range marques, Barbagallo has branched out into a more attainable market providing cars for all members of the family.  This diversity does not mean quality has been sacrificed for quantity, the marques now carried still bear a unique label, from Citroen and Volvo to the SsangYong range of people movers and four wheel drives.
 
A natural progression, knowing Alf’s love of the water, was the selling of  Sunseeker yachts and motor cruisers and the turnover from the national marine arm of Barbagallo has resulted in expansion to New Zealand where these top of the range craft are sold exclusively by Barbagallo.
 
 
In the late seventies the Barbagallo's faced their biggest challenge, the need to expand and embrace a franchise.  The decision was then made to pick Jaguar and Lamborghini which cast the mould to choose franchises at the luxury end of the car market. Expansion meant moving to larger premises in Osborne Park, in the nineties considerable growth of the company has seen dealerships built for Land Rover in Osborne Park and  Cannington. 
 
Since then staff levels have increased from 30 to over 140 but the company still retains a family feel with Alf and Tonys’ children  engaged in Barbagallo in some capacity and many staff who have worked for over 20 years still enjoying careers within the company. Many customers are now considered part of this family and are buying their fifth and sixth car from Barbagallo, some have bought cars from various marques at the same time to suit their driving needs.
 

As quiet achievers Alf and Tony like to let the quality of their business speak for itself. Many awards have been won by various dealerships over the years including; Sales and Service Dealer of the year for Jaguar in 1998, 2000 and 2001, Audi parts dealer of the year in 2001 and Excellence in Customer Service for Southern Land Rover in 1999.  Most recently Sunseeker won the International Dealer of the Year award for excellence in service for 2005, 2006 and 2007.  These awards are seen as recognition of the hard work and dedication shown by the staff that work for Barbagallo and are displayed with pride throughout the dealerships.
